quizzme!.
Trivia on 24 topics dealt as cards, with streaks, a scorecard and a replay of misses.

overview.
QuizzMe! is a trivia game played as a deck of cards, with questions from Open Trivia DB, a free, community-contributed trivia database. Pick a topic, a difficulty and how many cards, and they're dealt one at a time: answer as you go, or hold every answer back until the end.
The first QuizzMe was a practice run at fetching data in React: a form of dropdowns, one round and a score. The first rebuild asked what a quiz should actually feel like to play. The second gives it a look to match: trivia cards on warm paper, printed topic colours, the indigo and lilac from its icon, and buttons that sink into their own edge when you press them.

a closer look.

Waiting, out loud
Open Trivia DB takes one question request every five seconds. Requests queue, and when yours has to wait, a line opens under the deal button saying how long, with a cancel, instead of a spinner that might hang.

One banner, three states
The feedback banner along the bottom never changes height. Only its colour and words do, so answering a card never moves the page, and a wrong answer always comes with the right one.

Replay what you missed
The round's cards are already on your device, so the ones you missed are reshuffled into a new round straight away, with no wait on the API.
